Hey HN, I built Zerothesis, it was inspired by Andrej Karpathy’s auto research with the basic premise: let an agent improve through active attempts on optimizing an open problem. On Zerothesis, your agent reads a problem and its shared experiment history, tries an approach, evaluates it locally, and submits its work. Sandboxes independently rerun submissions. Verified results enter a public, signed ledger with contributor attribution, and failed attempts remain visible so others can learn from them. Current challenges include circle and sphere packing, with an automated system for agents(and their humans) to submit and vote on new problems to surface. The focus is on problems with objective, machine-checkable results. You can contribute using any harness paired with any model you want. I built VODForge because I work with a CTV company that needed to pull YouTube videos from our channel partners into our media workflow. Converter sites are always an option but the bitrate wasn't optimal for a CTV network that needs to make multiple streaming version off of a single source file. So I build vodforge to use yt-dlp and ffmpeg under the hood with preconfigured settings for the highest quality end result, automatically adjusting the output settings based on source quality, frame rate, and things like that. It became a game changer internally for us because we were able to avoid sketchy converter sites and avoid paid converter software. Eventually I decided to release it for free and others loved it as well. We started to add support for many of the features that other software charges for, supporting 4K, playlist support, customizing application theme, persistent searchable library, auto organizing downloads by channel and playlist, MP3 support up to 320 kbps, and much more. Looking for feedback on the user experience and additional features that you might find useful. My goal is to grow VODForge into a widely adopted free tool for people who do not want to deal with sketchy websites, CLI mess, or pay for things that you could ultimately do for free given time and effort. VODForge wants to make it EASY and maintained for you. We know anyone can make a GUI wrapper, but that is a trivial way to describe what VODForge aims to offer, user-friendliness, "it just works", libraries and packages maintained for you. A searchable, timestamped index of 1,124 AI Engineer talks
I love the videos and talks that appear on my feed ever day from the AI Engineer conferences. Unfortunately, there are so many of them it's often hard to find the time to keep up, or to watch what I'd like. So I built aietalks.com, a searchable written index and archive of all the talks on the AI Engineer Youtube channel. We currently cover 1,124 talks. The individual talk pages offer tl;dr summaries, key quotes and other summarised information from the videos. Search and packs allow you to find the talks that matter for your particular interest or use case. All the pages are accessible for agents etc though .md files (just add it to the URL) or via an auth-free MCP server which we offer. The site updates each day as new talks come in, with a little bit of a delay for me to handle deduplication or transcription errors of names and so on. Hope you enjoy this and find it useful!
